This is my first post, and I want to share with all of you what we can do with our flash disk. Because some of us usually just use flash disk for saving their data in flash disk. Flash disk have multifunction that not everyone know, so I want to share this with all of you, I hope it's helpful. I think there are many function of flash disk, so I will just share some to you to make flash disk more than just a storage device.
1. As a Key to Lock and Unlock Your PC or Laptop
With this function, you can lock and unlock the hard disk of your PC or Laptop. First thing to do is you have to download an app named predator, click here. After that, save the file in your flash disk, and it will run with Auto run. There is no need to setting it, just run it and your flash disk became a key for your PC or Laptop.
If you unplug the flash disk, the screen will turn black and the keyboard and mouse will not work properly. Don't be afraid, you just need to insert the flash disk to your PC or Laptop. When someone wants to open your PC or Laptop, system will ask for a password, but the password is only a trap, because the PC or Laptop keys exist on the flash disk. After that, when you come back there will be a report that other people is trying to open your PC or laptop.
2. More Fast to Connecting to Wireless
Uually when we connect to wireless there will be a command to enter a password. With flash disk, you can store password and other information to connect to that wireless. Just right click on wireless you want to save the information to flash disk and then select properties. Then select Copy this network profile to a USB flash drive link on that tab. Click next and Windows will copy the configuration information and wireless to your flash disk. If you want to use it on another PC or laptop you just have to click twice setupSNK.exe in your flash disk to install the wireless configuration.
3. Improving the performance of your PC or Laptop with ReadyBoost
A slower hard drive will make all of us want to angry and slam the PC or Laptop. ReadyBoost here applies as the application that run cache, caching frequency on your hard drive. So the burden of reading files on the disk is not charged all to your hard drive. However, if your hard drive's ability 7200+ RPM the speed will not be too visible. If you have a hard disk SSD technology (Solid-State-Drive) windows will not allow you to use ReadyBoost because the cache will be slower in the SSD. To enable ReadyBoost flash you right-click and select Properties then select the ReadyBoost tab and select the option use this device. One more thing, this feature will require 256 MB free space on your flash. Then click Apply and OK.
4. Portable Web Server
If you are a person that like the manufacture of the web, I hope this suitable for you. You just need to install the software Server2Go. This application will make your flash disk as a portable web server. Check it here. The features are quite complete from Apache, MySQL, PHP, and Perl. To use it you just need to insert flash disk to your PC or Laptop, no need to install anything else. In your flash disk now you have web server that useful for demonstrations, presentations and others.
